Overview

QuickShot is a Chrome extension that captures and annotates screenshots. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect and store the following in our secure database:

• Your email address (for account identification and subscription management)
• Your display name and profile picture (for display within the extension)
• Subscription status and payment reference ID (to manage Pro plan access)

Data We Do Not Collect

• Screenshots are captured and processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers.
• We do not collect browsing history, page content, or any information about the websites you visit.
• We do not store your Google password or full Google account credentials.
• We do not collect credit card or payment details. All payments are processed securely by Razorpay.

Guest Mode

You can use QuickShot without signing in. In guest mode, no data is sent to our servers. Usage count is stored locally on your device using Chrome storage.

How We Use Your Data

• To identify your account and manage your subscription status (Free or Pro)
• To verify your Pro plan eligibility when you open the extension
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party for advertising or marketing purposes

Third Party Services

• Google OAuth: Used for sign in. We receive your basic profile info (name, email, picture) from Google.
• Supabase: Our database provider, hosted in secure cloud infrastructure, used to store user accounts and subscription status.
• Razorpay: Payment processor for Pro plan upgrades. Razorpay handles all payment information directly. We never see or store your card details.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Required to capture a screenshot of the currently visible webpage.
• scripting: Required to scroll the page during full page capture.
• storage: Required to store your usage count and session data locally on your device.
• identity: Required to enable Google Sign In for account management and Pro upgrade.

Data Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring that each user can only access their own data. All communication between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email below and we will remove all your data within 7 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
